WINE PAIRING: BERINGER FOUNDERS’ ESTATE CHARDONNAY 
Ingredients:
- 3 – 1 lb. Porterhouse or T-Bone Steaks, trimmed of fat (one steak serves two people)
Rub
- 3 tablespoons ground Hazelnut flavored Coffee
- 1 tablespoon tightly packed light Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground Nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons course Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
Other
- Cooking Spray for the grill
- 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
- Fresh Chives for garnish
Note: A great steak needs no sauce and this one does not! The Chardonnay pairs great because of the baking spice.
Instructions:
Spray the grill with cooking spray. Preheat to 400. Brush steaks with olive oil and rub mixture on both sides. Press rub into meat. Grill for seven minutes. Flip steaks. Reduce heat to medium. Total cooking time using this method is estimated at 13 minutes. Internal temperature should be 140 degrees to account for carryover cooking time (tent steaks under foil). Top with fresh chives.
