Filet de Boeuf Gerard

WINE PAIRING: BERINGER FOUNDERS’ ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Ingredients

  • (6) Filet Mignons
  • 3/4 stick butter
  • 1 Medium Yellow Onion
  • 6 oz. Fresh Sliced Button Mushrooms
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tsp chopped chives
  • 1-1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp sandwich mustard

Instructions:

Slice onion into very thin slices. Place filets on the grill. Place butter in large skillet on the grill over low heat until butter is melted, then add onion and mushrooms and sauté for approx. 10 minutes over medium heat until browned. When filets are grilled to your liking, place them in the skillet with sautéed onion/mushroom mix, stir in the lemon juice, chives, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.  Place over high heat for 1 to 2 minutes while gently stirring the mixture around the filets.
